About Instructor

  • Jason Pond

Jason has always had a passion for education, community and creating beautiful and unique things. He spent the first 20 years of his working life as a director of a bespoke glazing company with an annual turnover in excess of 4 million pounds. He was responsible for the company's design and fabrication, and the company's projects included many unique static and motorised glazed structures. In 2010 he changed direction and took up the post of crafts teacher in a small private school in the West Midlands. He now wishes to combine his managerial and educational experience with his passion for a inclusive and supportive community that is not dependant on the financial ability to pay to become a member. Throughout his life he has experienced the mental, physical and community benefits of working creativity and imaginatively with your hands and wishes to bring all of this together under one roof that is available for all.
